English Language Challenges

First I want to say is that I really appreciate the university for doing this English courses because they are really important in the actual world where English is the primary language of the people, however I don’t think that doing this in first year is a great idea because we have to adapted to the university first and then we can do this, about the blogs I think that are a great idea because you have great freedom in your blog and you can develop yourself as a good human being, and also it is better than tests and that stuff, I think that the aspects of my English that I need to improve are the pronunciation and the vocabulary I will fix this practicing English a lot and reading books in English to read more words and expand my vocabulary, outside the classes I use a lot of English too, because on the internet a lot of things are just in English or when I see a movie, I like to watch it on the original language so it’s a great opportunity to improve my English I also listen to...

CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAM

The subjects in my career are good; the real problem is how they are made, for example anthropology I is a mess because we only read a lot of authors and to tests, the books that we read doesn’t have a connection between then and is just a lot of information thrower to your brain without a line to follow, so I would establish a more organized line to follow for this subject so students can really understand it because it’s the most important subject in my opinion, another subject that is weird is biology because the teacher pass the information too fast and you can’t understand it, the use of technology it’s not really important in the career from my point of view because we don’t work a lot with that its more reading and writing stuff, and you can do that with a pencil and a notebook so it doesn’t apply, the faculty facilities are an important topic here because the classrooms are too big sometimes and there is a lot of people that sits in the back part and the teachers frequently sp...

Winter Holidays

My previous experiences in winter holidays are really boring because normally I stay in my house during that time and I don’t do a lot of things, so it’s not a great topic to talk about for me, because I just stay in my home to watch movies and series or to read something, however this year is not going to be boring because now my mom lives in the beach so I can visit her when I want to do it and that is what I’m going to do in this winter holidays, my mom lives in Isla Negra a really relaxing place that is near to Santiago and that is pretty famous because Pablo Neruda used to live there so his house is a touristic place that provokes people to come to Isla Negra, also the beach is really quiet and you can chill with your friends and relax enjoying the sea, so it’s a pretty cool place to go if you want to clear your mind from the city, my idealistic retreat could be in any place I just need my family or friends to pass a good time the rest it doesn’t matter because if you are with go...

Postgraduate studies

My future job

My future job is going to be as a musician or I hope so because I think that is a great job because you can transmit a lot of thoughts with the music the ideas are infinite I know the pay is not so good but I really appreciate this discipline and I think is one of the most beautiful jobs in the whole world and requires a lot of effort and study also being a musician you can contribute by creating new music making the world richer in culture and you can send a message to the people that hears you I think that this is a very difficult job and you really need to love it to do it because you need a lot of years of practice to be a great musician and the costs are really high you can lose everything but not the music because the music is higher than all the other things in the world like all the art forms it’s a passion that feeds the soul and spread feelings around the world. What I’m really into it

On this days I’m really obsessed with Charles Mingus music and with music in general, after i arrived my home i turn on the computer and i start to search for new music every day, almost always in YouTube, i spent a lot of hours in the week listen to music in my computer , I also like to read a lot of books, I don’t have a particular preference but I usually read politic, history, sci-fi, novels, black novels, one of my favorite Chilean writers is Roberto Bolaño and specially his book “Los detectives salvajes”, other things I do is to watch movies I like all types of movies but my favorites are of drama or noir-crime movies, some of my favorites directors are David Fincher, Cristopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino and Andrei Tarkovski, also I watch a lot of TV series, my favorites are Friends, Twin Peaks, True Detective and Daredevil, and finally my last obsession are the comic books, I read a lot of them, I like Marvel and DC, but I also read a lot of independent like Image or Vertigo, my...
